About Santulan

Born in schools. Built for a global education challenge.

Education has become remarkably systematic at developing and measuring academic performance. But many of the capabilities that shape a young person’s life — how they understand themselves, regulate emotions, build relationships, adapt to change, direct their learning and develop purpose — are far less systematically understood or developed.

Santulan exists to change that.

Education already systematises

Academic development

  • Curriculum
  • Assessment
  • Grades
  • Milestones
Building the missing development layer
Education can also systematise

Human capability

  • Self-understanding
  • Relationships
  • Adaptability
  • Purpose & agency

We are building Santulan as a student capability development system that helps educational institutions understand and support the development of the whole person — not only academic performance.

Santulan brings together students, educators, parents, counsellors and institutional leadership through a connected, longitudinal journey of understanding, development, support and reflection.

Where we come from

We came to technology from schools. Not the other way around.

Santulan grew from years of direct work inside Indian schools — working with students, training teachers, engaging parents, counselling young people and collaborating with principals and school leaders.

Inside schools

Years spent with students, teachers, parents, counsellors and leaders.

Repeated gap

Strong intent, but fragmented visibility across people, initiatives and years.

Missing continuity

What was noticed? What support happened? What changed? What comes next?

Santulan

A connected, longitudinal development system built around people and responsible technology.

From fragmented support to a connected development journey

A young person does not develop in isolation.

01

What does this young person need to understand about themselves?

02

What capabilities deserve attention now?

03

How can the adults around them support that development?

04

How is that journey changing over time?

  • Notto reduce a student to a score.
  • Notto replace educators, counsellors or parents.
  • Notto automate human judgement.
Collective school-facing experience

Built from years of work with schools and families.

Declaration. These figures are the combined, cumulative experience of the whole team behind Santulan, built up across their careers. They are not Santulan platform users or results from the Santulan platform.

15+combined years of school-facing experience
1,00,000+students reached (self-reported)
20,000+teachers trained
10,000+parents worked with

Reach, not efficacy. Totals are self-reported by team members for their own programmes (see Team) and counted by reach, not unique students.

Our roots are Indian. Our ambition is global.

One question reaches far beyond one geography.

Santulan is being built in India — within one of the world’s largest and most diverse education ecosystems. That experience shapes how we think about schools, families, educators, institutional realities and the complexity of human development.

Direction

What we are trying to build — and why.

Our Vision

To create an education system that develops capable human beings, not only academically successful students.

Our Mission

To make human capability visible, developable and actionable through scientifically grounded frameworks, human support and responsible technology — enabling individuals and institutions to understand growth and act on it over time.

What we believe

The principles behind how we build.

  1. 01

Human beings are more than scores.

  2. 02

    Development is longitudinal.

  3. 03

    Technology should strengthen human judgement.

  4. 04

    The whole ecosystem matters.

  5. 05

Education should develop the whole person.

Our position

We are not trying to make education less academic. We are trying to make human development equally intentional.
